The National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the results for the 2022 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE). The results were announced on Thursday by the NECO Registrar, Prof. Dantani Wushishi at the Council’s headquarters in Minna, Niger State, adding that candidates should check NECO’s website for results.
He said, “It gives me great pleasure to inform you that the conduct of this year’s Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) Internal has been adjudged by many stakeholders to be hugely successful in recent years. This is indeed a big achievement”.
According to him, 1,198,412 candidates sat for this year’s exam and 727,864 candidates which represents a 60.74% recorded pass and above in 5 subjects including Mathematics and English Language.
Wushishi revealed that a total of 13,595 candidates representing only 0.13% of the total amount of candidates were involved in different types of examination malpractice.
He said, “In the area of malpractices, 13,595 were caught as against 20,003 in the year 2021, which showed an appreciable decline in the number of malpractices cases.
“Twenty Nine supervisors were blacklisted for various offenses ranging from poor supervision, insult, aiding and abetting during the examinations”.
He further said that 4 schools were recommended for de-recognition for a period of 2 years due to their involvement in consistent and massive examination malpractices.
