The Minister of Foreign Affair, Geoffrey Onyeama, has disclosed via his Twitter handle @GeoffreyOnyeama the evacuation of 102 Nigerian from Egypt. The 102 evacuees from Egypt have successfully arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja by EgyptAir today 12th June 2020

Meanwhile, the Federal Government has announced that 260 Nigerians will be returning from Indian today Saturday 13th June 2020 via flyairpeace. The Airpeace carrier is expected to land in Abuja Airport where some of the returnees will disembark, and proceed to the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos to disembark the remaining returnees,

Also, the evacuation protocols announced by the Minister have been implemented, with the arrival of the first evacuees. According to Onyeam’s Special Assistant on Media, Ms. Sarah Sanda, the returnees who returned through the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja is already in self-isolation and will be undergoing the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) testing within 3days.
