The Niger State Government has on Sunday disclosed that it has secured the release of the abducted passengers of the States’ Transport Authority (NSTA). The Chief Press Secretary to the Niger State Governor, Mary Noel-Berje made the disclosure in a statement in Minna, saying the abductees were released from Zamfara State.

In a tweet, Governor Sani-Bello said “All 53 Kidnapped NSTA Passengers regained their freedom, efforts ongoing to Rescue the Government Science College Kagara Students.”

The governor also assured that efforts are being made to secure the release of the Kagara students and workers who were kidnapped from the Government Science College in Kagara, Rafi LGA.

The NSTA passengers were abducted on February 14 by bandits at Kundu village of Rafi Local Government Area, while traveling to Minna from Kontagora.
