Personal Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on New Media, Bashir Ahmad has today slammed the media blackmail alleging that the United States has placed a Nigerian Minister of communication, Isa Ali Pantami on the watch-list.

Yesterday, there was a media report by NewsWireNGR alleging that the communication Minister has been accused of having ties with Boko Haram leader, Mohammed Yusuf.

According to the report, the Minister was a close confidant of the late Boko Haram founder, Mohammed Yusuf.

Also, it claimed that Dr. Pantami had ties with Abu Qatada Al Falasimi and other Al-Qaeda leaders, a report yet to be verified.

However, Bashir in Twitter described the report as “Fake news”

He explained that the Minister is not and has never been on any watch-list.

Ahmad wrote; ”You have just endorsed a fake report without verifying. For your information @DrIsaPantami has never been on any US watch-list.”
