Terrorists have slammed N24 million levies on nine communities in Bukkuyum Local Government Area of Zamfara State and demanded prompt payment or face assaults. The levied communities include Gaude, Tungar Gebe, Wawan Iccen Ibrahim, Wawan Iccen Salihu, Galle, Nannarki, Ruwan Kura, Gangara and Yargalma. Findings gathered that the affected communities have started mobilising to pay the bandits, even as locals said letters to that effect have since reached the affected communities through kidnap victims who regained freedom.

This is coming few days after bandits launched attacks from Gando forest on seven communitites in Bukkuyum and Anka LGAs in Zamfara leading to the death of hundreds of people and more than 1,900 cattle rustled.

Meanwhile, as at the time of filing this report, there has been no reaction from the police or government.
