President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Abdullahi Bala as the new Executive Secretary (ES) of the Nigeria Police Trust Fund (NPTF). His appointment is with immediate effect.
Bala takes over from the former ES, Ahmed Aliyu, who resigned to contest for the seat of the governor of Sokoto State under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Bala who was born on 18, August 1967, holds a Masters's Degree in Political Science from the Usman Danfodiyo University, Sokoto State.
In May 2009, he was appointed as Permanent Secretary in Sokoto State Civil Service and has also worked as Permanent Secretary in several states including the Ministries of Health, Finance, and Education.
