Easter Celebration: APC Urges Christians To Pray For Leaders

The All Progressive Congress (APC) has charged Nigerians during this Easter sober celebration to pray for divine intervention and guidance for Nigerian leaders. Governor Mai Mala Buni, of Yobe state who is also the chairman of the Extraordinary Convention Planning committee (CECPC) solicited the prayer on behalf of the ruling party in Abuja yesterday. The statement was made known by the Buni’s Director General of Media and Press, Alhaji Mamman Mohammed who also said Buni solicited for Nigerians to demonstrate love, Unity, and Harmony as well as tolerance towards one another.


Buni called on religious leaders to use the occasion to preach peace, tolerance, and unity among the faithful.


He said for the country to prosper, there must be peace and therefore urged the religious leaders during this Easter sober reflection to prevail on faithful to have hope in the country.


The Governor said, “As people of faith, we should dedicate ourselves to more prayers during the Easter to seek divine intervention and guide our leaders’ right.


“We should see ourselves as a people with common dreams and aspirations for a greater Nigeria that is full of love, tolerance, unity and prosperity.


Buni reminded Nigerians that they have no other space to call their own except this country called Nigeria.


He enjoined Nigerians to see problems from any part of the country as a common problem that required to be tackled collectively.


Meanwhile, he wished all the Christendom and all Nigerians a peaceful Easter celebration, love, and abundant peace.
