Former Foursquare General Overseer Dies At 74

Former Foursquare Gospel Church’s General Overseer (G.O), Dr Wilson Badejo has been reported dead. Rev. Yomi Oyinloye, the National Secretary of the church made the disclosure that the former G.O of the church between 1999 and 2009 has died on Saturday after a brief illness. 

Mr Oyinloye who has called for prayers for the family of the deceased and the Foursquare Gospel Church in this trying time in his statement established the fact that Dr Badejo “was a great achiever, an accomplished servant of God, a role model, a bridge-builder, mentor, teacher par excellence, an apostle and respected family man.

“He served the Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria in several ministerial capacities, crowning his stewardship at the apex as the General Overseer of the Church from 1999 to 2009.

“He was a man of many parts who was able to unlock socio-cultural gateways, and in the process successfully endeared several friends and loved ones from all walks of life across the divide.”

President Muhammadu Buhari also shared his warm condolences with the church and the family of former general overseer, veterinary doctor, author and public speaker.

The President described him as “a dedicated servant of God, who led the Foursquare Gospel Church for 10 years. Also noting that he was committed to standing in the gap for not just his organisation, but also for Nigeria.

President Buhari concluded by praying, that God will comfort the entire Badejo family and has urged them to take solace in the fact that the former G.O set a standard to be emulated by all and sundry.
