Following the negative reactions that greeted the inclusion of the names of dead people in the recently published list of Board appointments into some Federal Government agencies and parastatals, President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha to review the list.

Olisa Agbakoba, a former president of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), says the Executive did not comply with the constitution in laying the 2018 budget before the National Assembly. He said he would initiate legal proceedings and pray the court to set aside the 2018 budget if the right is not done within seven days. Agbakoba said this in letters on 3 January, addressed to Senate President Bukola Saraki and Yakubu Dogara, Speaker of the House of Representatives.
