The immediate past National chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Chief John Odigie-Oyegun has today refuted claims purported that he plan to leave the party. Oyegun, who spoke to journalist in Abuja on Wednesday, affirmed that Nigerians should ignore such rumors.

He said as the founding fathers who were part and parcel of the opposition's plan and process to present a national democratic choice that would be acceptable to all Nigerians. it sound absurd for him to contemplate such move.


He added, “Yes, the party has issues and difficulties that need to be sorted out. But you don’t run away. You give what you have to ensure that the cracks are patched. What is going on is fluidity. I’m in APC. I can’t quite envisage that,”
Oyegun further narrated his attachment to President Buhari right from the military era, he disclosed Buhari remained the best candidate for re-election in 2019.


The former chairman, expressed sadness over the state of relative instability in the ruling party, however, optimistic in the ability of peace and reconciliation committee to mend fences.
