APC, PDP End All Forms Of Political Campaigns

Political parties in the country have to wind up campaigns less than 24 hours to the 2019 general elections. This is as the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the People Democratic Party (PDP) have closed all forms of campaigns for the February 16, 2019, Presidential election in accordance with the provisions of the Electoral Act.

 

In a statement signed by Mallam Lanre Issa- Onilu, National Publicity Secretary of the APC," the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) wishes to state that any 2019 Presidential/National Assembly election campaign advertorial and material disseminated in any media/public platform from 11 pm Thursday, February 14, 2019, is not authorized by the Party."

The APC has brought all campaigns to an end. The general public, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and other relevant institutions should please note.

By this statement, the PDP henceforth no longer authorizes any campaign material under any form whatsoever for our party or our candidate for the February 16 Presidential election.

In the same vein, the PDP National Publicity Secretary and Director, Media and Publicity of the PDP, Kola Ologbondiyan expresses gratitude to all Nigerian for the solidarity in the ended campaigns. He noted that by the statement, the party henceforth no longer authorizes any campaign material under any form whatsoever for the PDP or for the candidate for the February 16th Presidential election.
