The opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on Thursday, commiserated with the national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu on the demise of his son, Jide Tinubu. In a press release signed by the national publicity secretary of the party, Prince Dayo Adeyeye, the PDP described Jide’s death as “sad, shocking and very painful.”

The party prayed for fortitude for the bereaved family and the government of Lagos State to bear the “irreparable loss.”

 

The late Jide Tinubu was a graduate of the University of Liverpool, England. He obtained Master Degree in Maritime law from the University of London, and was called to Nigerian Bar in 1999.

 

He passed on in the early hours of November 1.
