The Governorship aspirant of Democratic People's Congress (DPC), Yul Edochie has debunked reports that he has stepped down from the governorship election and defected to the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA). The son of veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie who stated this on Saturday morning appealed to his supporters to disregard the reports. He explained that the report may have been planted by the opposition to deceive his supporters knowing how popular he is in the state.

His tweets read;

“I did not step down. I’m in the race fully. Ignore their rumours and come out today let us vote the politicians out and protect our future. Vote DPC. Vote Yul Edochie for Governor of Anambra State. Our mumu don do. We do not need politicians any more. We need fresh people, with integrity who care about the welfare of the masses.”

Recall that on Friday, news emerged that Yul had abandoned his governorship ambition in order to support the incumbent to win reelection.
