Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar on Tuesday reacted to the reported attack on GSS Dapachi in Yobe state by members of Boko Haram sect. The Vice President who took to his Twitter handle to make known his thought, called on Nigerians to be vigilant at all times. He expressed joy at the report that the students and teachers were all safe. His tweet reads;

“What a relief it was for me to learn that the schoolgirls and teachers of GSS Dapchi in Yobe State are safe. However, we must be vigilant.”

The school was yesterday thrown into confusion and apprehension as students and teachers scampered for safety after they saw trucks and motorcycles carrying Boko Haram members into town. The insurgents reportedly fired shots sporadically into the air to scare residents.
