Kogi State Gets New Deputy Governor

Immediate past Chief of Staff to Kogi State Governor, Hon. Edward Onoja has been sworn in today, 21st October 2019 by the State Chief Judge, Justice Nasir Ajanah as the new Deputy Governor.

 

The event was held at the Banquet Hall, Government House Lokoja, Kogi State.

His appointment followed confirmation by the Kogi State House of Assembly, on Monday, 21st October 2019.

With this development, Onoja will be the running mate to Governor Yahaya Bello in the forthcoming November 2019 election in the State.

Recall that on 18th October 2019 the State Assembly impeached the former Deputy Governor, Elder Simon Achuba citing allegations bordering on “gross misconduct”.
