Emerging reports indicate palpable fear among Ministers over plans by President Muhammadu Buhari to dissolve and reshuffle the Federal Executive Council (FEC) as soon as he returns to the country. A source in the Presidency who spoke to Vigil360 on condition of anonymity hinted that Ministers seeking to retain their positions have commenced lobbying of politicians close to the President "the cabals".

The source further hinted that the development was responsible for the outright refusal by the Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo to assign portfolios to the newly inaugurated Ministers.

"You are aware that the Acting President swore in two Ministers today but failed to assign portfolios to them. He was merely obeying the directive of his boss.

President Buhari may return to the country very soon. And he is planning to shakeup his cabinet. The president reasoned that it will amount to waste of time to assign them portfolios now and then change it in few weeks"

He further stated that "Serving Ministers are already jittery. They have sensed the danger and now most of them have started lobbying those close to the President to retain their positions"

The source also said the Wife of the President is aware of the development that was why she recently stated that "Hyenas and Jackals will soon be sent of the kingdom."
