Cross River Senator, Rose Oko Dies At 63

Senator representing Cross River North Senatorial District, Rose Oko has on Monday died in a United Kingdom Hospital.

 

Oko, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was the Chairman, Senate Committee on Trade and Investment.

The lawmaker who was on her second term in the Senate started at the lower chamber of the National Assembly and represented Yala/Ogoja Federal Constituency, also making her the first female to represent her constituency.

Oko is the third loss the Senate has experienced this year, following Ignatius Longjan who represented Plateau South Senatorial District and Ben Uwajumogu who represented Imo North Senatorial District.
