The lawmaker representing Akure South/North in the House of Representatives, Adedayo Omolafe Popularly called Expensive has died. Mr. Omolafe, a member of the peoples Democracy Party (PDP) died in his home in Akure, Ondo state capital, around 2am on Monday, according to sources. Ondo PDP spokesman, Kennedy Peretei, who confirmed the death of the law maker, described him as a grassroot politician who would be sorely missed, adding that his death was a big blow to the party. Peretei also said they will soon issue a statement to that effect.
Omolafe was elected in 2019 under the platform of the PDP to represent the people of Akure north and south at the Lower chamber after several attempts by the late politician to secure the seat.
He was a former chairman of Akure South local government during the regime of the late Olusegun Agagu in 2009.
