2023 Elections: Only 87.2m Nigerians Are Eligible To Vote - INEC

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has stated that only 87.2m Nigerians are cleared to participate in the forthcoming elections. The Commission stated that 93.5 million Nigerians registered for their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) and only 87.2 million voters have collected theirs as of February 5 deadline for card collection.

According to INEC via its official Twitter handle, only 87.2 million voters have collected their PVC, while 6,259,229 are yet to collect theirs, adding that uncollected PVC owners will not be able to vote or votes may be declared as void.

Mahmood Yakubu, INEC boss noted that a total of 1,642,385 polling units and collation centre agents of political parties will participate in the elections.
