The former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Allison Madueke has denied all corruption allegations leveled against her by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC). The former Minister, who stated that she never stole Nigeria's money, accused the EFCC of exploiting her silence to crucify her on the pages of newspaper. Her response was contained in a statement made available to newsmen on Monday in Abuja.

The Defence Headquarters have released a statement denying widespread media reports that the Nigerian Army recently invaded a United Nations House in Maiduguri in search of weapons and Boko Haram Commanders. The statement which described the report as false added that the referenced security operation was merely a routine cordon and search operation conducted in the general area in line with the Military's counter insurgency strategy.

The Federal Government says it is pushing ahead with a long-delayed law that will criminalise hate speech. The announcement was made by the Minister of Interior, Lt Gen. Emerging reports indicate that unknown gunmen on Sunday attacked the Assemblies of God Church located at Oguta road, Onitsha, killing at least one police officer and a civilian. According to Punch, the gunmen had momentarily stopped at the Assemblies of God Church, but on sighting some policemen at the church, opened fire on them.

Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Senior Special Assistant Media & Publicity Mallam Garba Shehu, Special Adviser Media and Publicity Femi Adesina and Personal Assistant Digital/Online Media Lauretta Onochie.

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has asked Federal Executive Council (FEC) members to brace-up for challenges of economic recovery as the country had chosen to succeed.
