The Defence Headquarters has declared the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) a militant terrorist organisation.

The immediate past Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Bala Mohammed, and his son, Shamsudeen, have lost 14 choices properties in Abuja to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, according to reports. The anti-graft agency stated this in a court application filed by one of its prosecutors, Mr. Ben Ikani, filed before the Federal High Court in Abuja on September 11, 2017, for interim forfeiture of the properties.

Members of Bring Back Our Girls Group (BBOG) have resolved to resume their 72- hourly protest in October if the Federal government failed to secure the release of the remaining 113 girls in Boko Haram captivity. The leadership of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) may suspend ongoing industrial action today, after a crucial meeting billed to take place this evening. A source in the union who craved anonymity told Vigil360 that "after aggregating decisions reached across the various institutions, most of the members of the National Executive Council of ASUU are favorably disposed to the suspension of the strike to allow for immediate resumption of academic activities."
