Ambassador To Germany: Senator Wakili, Jibrin, Others Celebrate Tuggar

Political associates and supporters of Yusuf Tuggar, yesterday, hosted him to a dinner for his appointment as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Germany. Tuggar, who was a former governorship candidate in the state, was accompanied to Bauchi from Abuja by Captain Bala Jibrin and other political associates to a rousing welcome by his supporters at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport, Bauchi.

FG Begins Housing Construction In 33 States For Workers

The Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Mr Babatunde Fashola, said that the Federal Government has commenced construction of houses in 33 states for workers under its National Housing Programme.

Arewa Youths Consultative Forum (AYCF) has withdrawn the quit notice it issued to the Igbos living in the northern part of the country. The coalition of Northern youth groups has asked Igbos to leave Northern Nigeria on or before October 1, claiming their demand was in response to secessionist stance of some pro-Biafran groups, like Nnamdi Kanu’s IPOB.

IPOB Rejects Arewa Youths’ Quit Notice Withdrawal, Asks All Igbos To Return Home

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has rejected the withdrawal of the quit notice issued to Igbo resident in the northern region by the Arewa youth. The Arewa youth had ordered the Igbo to leave the north on or before October 1, 2017, but withdrew the notice on Thursday.

VCs, ASUU Reject 120 Cut-Off Mark For Varsity Admission

Some Vice-Chancellors and the Academic Staff Union of Universities have rejected the decision of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board to peg admission cut-off mark at 120 for universities and 100 for polytechnics, mono-technics and colleges of education.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday signed a total of international agreements, which will strengthen and boost the nation’s anti-graft war, improve national security and reinvigorate the nation’s economy among others. The agreements ratified included Agreement on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters; Agreement on Mutual Legal Assistance in Civil and Commercial Matters; Agreement on the Transfer of Sentenced Persons; and Extradition Treaty.
