President Buhari Swears In 4 New Permanent Secretaries

President Muhammadu Buhari has sworn in four newly appointed Permanent Secretaries during the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Wednesday at the State House, Abuja. The permanent secretaries who took the oath of office are Beatrice Jeddy-Agba, Kachollom Daju, Mary Ogbe, and Shehu Ibrahim.


Those in attendance for the weekly FEC meeting were Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo; Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha; National Security Adviser (NSA), Maj. Gen. Babagana Monguno (Rtd); Chief of Staff to the President, Ibrahim Gambari, and Head of Civil Service, Folashade Yemi-Esan.

Also present were the ministers of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed; Justice and the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami; Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige; Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, among others.

Some ministers attended virtually from their respective offices and a minute of silence was observed for a former Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture, Tonye Graham-Douglas, who recently died at the age of 82.
