The All Progressive Congress, APC, presidential candidate for the 2023 general election, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has disclosed the ordeal that leads to the exit of Naja’atu Mohammed as the Director Civil Society Organisation in his campaign team. Asiwaju disclosed that NAja’atu was kicked out as she was suspected to be a mole in the APC campaign train. The former Lagos state governor revealed that Naja’atu lied to Nigerians that she resigned from the appointment of the Tinubu campaign team.
According to the APC flag bearer who spoke through his campaign adviser on Public Affairs, Mahmud Jega, Tinubu said Mohammed was planted by the opposition to be spying and leaking a sensitive strategy to the opposition in APC to the opposition.
Jega on behalf of Tinubu said, “The Asiwaju/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council received with amusement the hasty “resignation” of Hajiya Naja’atu Mohammed from her position as Director of Civil Society Organisations just before she was sacked for incompetence, quarrelsomeness, and after being uncovered to be a mole planted in our winning campaign in order to leak sensitive information to our desperate opponents.
“Although she deceived the gullible public by claiming that she resigned, her sack letter with ignominy from the campaign and the party had just arrived at her desk.”
Tinubu said Naja’atu’s desperation, fact-free, machination-filled and imaginary utterances after she was sacked showed that she was “unfit to serve in the first place until it was discovered that she was a mole.”
Mohammed had over the weekend said she had resigned from her appointment in the Tinubu campaign train for fact that Tinubu was too ill to lead this country.
Subsequently, Naja’atu Mohammed defected to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP declaring her support to the party where she promised to campaign for PDP.
She revealed she dumped APC presidential campaign team on the claim that the value APC stands for is no longer obtainable in the party.
