Northern Christians under the umbrella of Arewa Christians and Indigenous Pastors Association have called on the African Union, European Union, the United States, the United Nations and other concerned International bodies to assist Nigerians in rescuing the country from the bad leadership of the current administration.

The President of the organization, Luke Shehu who made the call during an interview with newsmen in Jos, Plateau state said the call became necessary because of the alleged nepotism in the government as well as the persecution of northern Christians.

He accused President Muhammadu Buhari of failing in his basic responsibility of protecting lives and properties.

"While we may not conclude that insurgency in Nigeria is state-sponsored, there is clear and obvious complicity by government officials in some quarters.

This administration should stop deceiving Nigerians that Boko Haram has been defeated. The truth is that after three years, Boko Haram has yet to be defeated despite the pre – election promise to do so in less than six months.”
