Botswana’s sprinter, Isaac Makwala will run an individual time trial in an attempt to qualify for the 200m semi-finals at the World Championships in London, according to Athletics governing body. Makwala made headlines earlier this week after being disqualified from the 400m final after an alleged outbreak of norovirus. He was barred from the race on Tuesday night with officials citing public health concerns as grounds for barring the athlete.

Athletes staying at one of the team hotels for the IAAF World Championships in London have been affected by an outbreak of gastroenteritis, officials have confirmed.

Nigerian sprinter, Blessing Okagbare-Ighoteguonor on Saturday finished second in her heat in 11.22 seconds to qualify for the second round of the 2017 International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) World Championships in London.

Usain Bolt Loses

Jamaican sprint star Usain Bolt was beaten in his last 100 metres race by American Justin Gatlin and his compatriot Christian Coleman in London on Saturday night in the World Championship 100 metres final.

Barcelona United is rushing to remove all images of star player Neymar from the club's official images and promotional materials following his imminent departure. Emerging pictures posted by Marca showed workers trying to remove Neymar's pictures from billboards and other materials both at the club's stadium and in Barcelona city. The workers replaced the images with another featuring other members of the club.
