Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson Duel for $9Million

The much anticipated $9 million winner-takes-all golf match between Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson has been set for Friday,23rd November, at the Shadow Creek Golf Course in Las Vegas, USA.


The televised event which will embrace gamblingwill also allowWoods and Mickelson make various side bets or “challenges” with one another during the match. At the end of the match, winnings would be donated to charity.

Woods and Mickelson have long been rivals whose relationship mellowed in recent years.
 They played practice rounds together this year at Masters and the WGC-Bridgestone also worked together behind the scenes as part of the U.S. Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup efforts.

In an interview with Bloomberg 
TV, Woods said, “We’ve always embraced it, Phil and I, in how we’ve taken chances on a golf course.” 

“Whether it’s a weekend round with our buddies or a practice round out on tour, we’re always trying to have a little bit of an edge and have a bit of fun out there.”

Also Speaking, Mickelson said the telecast will feature live odds on screen, and that some fans will be able to bet shot by shot. That will give viewers “a glimpse of what the future of watching sports will be.”
