Veteran WWE Star Mark William Calaway popularly known as 'The Undertaker' has on Sunday during the final chapter of 'The Last Ride', a TV programme on his life and career disclosed that he will not be returning to the WWE ring, retiring him from professional wrestling.

In a tweet, WWE confirmed the news saying the veteran who joined the company in 1990 was the most loyal employee.

"I believe I'm at a place now, post-Boneyard, which was a hellacious battle against one of the best in the business. Here you are, climbing on your motorcycle and taking off. There was a lot of thought and a lot of emotion, one of those being 'are you happy enough with that?' It was a powerful moment,” Undertaker said while speaking on his retirement on The Last Ride.

"You don't necessarily always get those. If there was ever a perfect ending to a career, that right there was it. If Vince was in a pinch, would I come back? I guess time would only tell there. In case of emergency, break glass, you pull out The Undertaker. I would consider it. At this point in my career, I have no desire to get back in the ring," he added.

During the course of his 3 decades career, he participated in several title matches, winning 7 World Championships, a six-time tag team titleholder, 12- time Slammy Award winner, and once won the Royal Rumble title in 2001.

The WWE deadman is known for his Wrestlemania scoresheet with 25 wins and 2 losses, which was at a point a 21-0 streak before Brock Lesnar defeated the Taker in Wrestlemania 30.

His last fight was against AJ Styles in Wrestlemania 36.

Meanwhile, fans and colleagues have taken to social media to pay tribute to the legend with a "#ThankYouTaker".
