The National Basketball Association (NBA) has on Wednesday announced that 48 players have tested positive for the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), following the testing of 546 people as the association commences preseason games. The positive tests are a major increase after there were zero positive tests during the last season's quarantine bubble, however, the recent test results are those carried out between November 24-30, 2020. Teams like Golden State Warriors have already delayed workouts and training due to the recent positive testings, meanwhile, the NBA's first preseason games are set for December 11, 2020.

Also, persons who tested positive are currently isolated until they are cleared to leave the isolation according to CDC guidance.
