Sky Sports reports that Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Neymar have been nominated as finalists for the Best FIFA Men's Player award billed to take place on October 23. Cristiano Ronaldo who is the current holder of the award helped Real Madrid to a second consecutive Champions League title and also finished the tournament as the top scorer with 12 goals. The Portuguese also assisted the Club to win the La Liga title.


Messi who was the runner-up last year for the award won the Copa del Rey with Spain giant, Barcelona and finished as La Liga top scorer with 37 goals.  Neymar who recently switched to Paris Saint Germain from Barcelona also assisted his former club to the Copa Del Rey.


Meanwhile, Italy's goal keeper, Buffon was shortlisted alongside Kaylor Navas and Manuel Neuer for the Best FIFA Goalkeeper award. Buffon had led his club, Juventus to a sixth consecutive league title before failing to win the Champions League in an encounter with Real Madrid.


Real Madrid Manager, Zinedine Zidane, Chelsea Manager Antonio Conte and Juventus Coach, Massimiliano Allegri were shortlisted for the best FIFA Men's Coach award.
