The Nigerian forward who is plying his trade in the United State USL Championship side Austin Bold FC has been confirmed dead.

According to a press statement issued by Austin Bold FC Chairman Bobby Epstein,  "The greatest loss a team can suffer is not on the scoreboard, its the death of a fellow teammate." "it's with shock and grief that we acknowledge the sudden death of Promise Isaac"

"On behalf of the BOLD organization; wd wish his wife, children and family strength and peace as they struggle to cope with his death"

The former Genclerbirligi and Trabzonspor striker became Austin Bold FC 7th signing in history when he signed in August 2018 after spending the previous 12 seasons in the Turkish Süper Lig, TFF First League, and the Saudi Professional League.

The Zaria born professional has also represented the Super Eagles in the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championship, serving as captain and earned a silver medal in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing with the Nigerian U-23 team, again serving as a captain in four matches, including the gold medal match.
