Brazil claimed their fourth U-17 crown after triumphing Mexico 2-1 at the final in Brasilia's Estadio Bezerrao.

The victory over Mexico has pushed the Seleção within touching distance of record holder Nigeria in what appears to be their first Worldcup title since 2003.

En route to winning the title, Brazil defeated the likes of Chile, Italy and France.

In the third-place fixture, France Arnaud Kalimuendo-Muinga's hat-trick was enough for the European to clinch victory.

Record title holder Nigeria, crashed out of the tournament after a disappointing defeat to semi-finalist Netherland.
