Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has now surpassed football legend Pele to climb second in the all-time goalscoring charts after recently becoming the first person to reach 250 million followers on Instagram.
The recently named Player of the Century 2001-2020 was in action for Juventus on Sunday and opened the scoring in the first half against Udinese then went on to end the night with an assist and a brace taking him to 758th career goals above Brazil Legend Pele who ended his career on 757 goals.
Only Slavia Prague legend Josef Bican has scored more goals than any other player in history with 805 goals in 530 matches between 1931 and 1955. The 35-year-old Portuguese superstar needs 48 goals to beat Bican's record.
On the social media space, Ronaldo has become the first person to reach 250 million followers on Instagram, ahead of Ariana Grande (214 million) and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson (209 million).
