Rangers have ended the Scottish Premiership season unbeaten with 32 wins, 6 draws, 102 points en route to claiming their 55th Scottish title. Steven Gerrard's side has now joined three other teams in world football to have gone 38+ game top-flight season unbeaten. Arsenal (2003-04), Juventus (2011-12) and Brendan Rodgers' Celtic in 2016-17 while also matching their city rivals' 107-year-old clean-sheet record with 26.
Joe Lewis unfortunate own goal early on set the tone for the day as he made a mess of James Tavernier's effort which ended up in the back of the net and Kemar Roofe added another. The Dons were better in the second half but they squandered two glorious chances through Fraser Hornby and Lewis Ferguson, who hit the crossbar from close range.
And they were punished as Roofe added a second and substitute Jermain Defoe completed the rout with a well-taken fourth for Gers. The result means the Light Blues have completed an unbeaten league campaign for the first time in the modern era - and the first for 122 years.
They also conceded just 13 goals in the process and that is a British league record, breaking the previous best of 15 set by Chelsea in 2005. Rangers finished a staggering 25 points above Celtic, who they stopped from winning a 10th consecutive title and the 55th title in the club's history.
The club will now look to consolidate their dominance of the Scottish top flight and have a better champions league season but first sailing through the third qualifying round in August.
