The most expensive footballer in Europe, Neymar has been cleared to make his debut for Paris Saint Germain (PSG) this weekend.  His inability to feature against Amiens at Parc Des Princes last week was due to delay in the release of his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) by the Spanish Football Governing Body.

The certificate is meant to sanction the transfer and clear the player of all attachments to the former club. With the release of the ITC, Neymar would now be registered by the French Football Federation (FFF) to participate fully in the French league.

On Friday, the FFF confirmed the receipt of the ITC in a tweet. The tweet reads “... confirmed receipt of the certificate of transfer of @neymarjr sent by the RFEF [Spanish FA].”

The FFF had earlier threatened that it would drag the Spanish Football Authority to FIFA on August 18 if Neymar's ITC was not released before then. Some commentators had attributed the delay in the release of the ITC to futile attempts by the Spanish authorities to foil Neymar's transfer to PSG.

The Brazilian International completed a whopping €222 million move to PSG from Barcelona last week. He will now feature against Guingamp this weekend.
