PSG coach Christophe Galtier has confirmed that Neymar will not play in the second leg of the Champions League tie against Bayern Munich, with the Brazilian having failed to recover sufficiently from an ankle sprain.

According to Galtier "He will be out. Not having him is a big loss, but maybe we can add another midfielder to balance the team,"

"We played as a unit in Marseille and it worked."

Whilst there is obvious pressure on the French coach given the importance of the Champions League to the Qatari project, the coach made clear that he will not accept his players looking beyond the Ligue 1 clash with Nantes at the weekend.

"I don't want the team to be distracted. It's important to win in the league and get a third consecutive win before the Champions League," he added.

"In Marseille, we played similarly to the first part of the season. There won't be much rotation."

Another likely absentee is Moroccan right-back, Achraf Hakimi. according to Christophe Galtier, "He has done two training sessions on the sidelines and today he took part for a few minutes with the group, but he is still not fully recovered," he detailed.

"In principle, he will train on Sunday and Monday and should be available against Bayern Munich."
