Juventus' 15-point Deduction Overturned

Serie A giants Juventus have jumped four (4) places from seventh (7th) to third (3rd) on the league table after winning their appeal against a 15 penalty points deduction it suffered for inflating transfer values and lying to financial officials.

According to the judgement from the Federal Court of Appeal, there was no justification for the 15-point sanction, however, the points will be temporarily Overturned, while a new sporting trial will commence in the coming months.

Former president Andrea Agnelli was banned for two years from any activities in Italian football, while former vice-president Pavel Nedved was banned for eight months.

Agnelli had his appeal rejected, while Nedved was successful in appealing against his ban.

Also, Former Juve’s board member Fabio Paratici has resigned from his role as Tottenham director after he lost his appeal against a 30-month suspension.
