Deontay Wilder: 'I want a body on my record'

Heavyweight titleholder Deontay Wilder looms as the obvious opponent for Anthony Joshua should Joshua unify three belts against Joseph Parker on Saturday (Showtime, 5 p.m. ET) at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.

However, Wilder, who had been hired by host broadcaster Sky Sports to work as a pundit on the pay-per-view telecast in the United Kingdom, elected to not make the trip overseas. Instead, he spent part of this week in New York making media appearances, one of which came on The Breakfast Club morning show on Power 105.1 FM.

"I want a body on my record. I want one. I want one, I really do. That's the 'Bronze Bomber,' he wants one. I always tell people, when I'm in the ring, like I'm the 'Bronze Bomber.' Everything about me changes. I don't get nervous, I don't get scared, I don't get butterflies, I don't have no feelings towards the man I'm gonna fight."

World Heavyweight Champion, Anthony Joshua has said he would set bobby trap for his challenger, Joseph Parker when they both confront each other on Saturday in massive unification bout billed to take place in Cardiff. Joshua who was reacting to statement from the Parker camp that he is ready for war and would chase him around the ring warned that there would be blood, sweat and the cheers from his corner.

Although the unification bout between Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker is still three days away, the heavyweight champions have sustained their media rivalry by promising a thrilling encounter. The WBO heavyweight champion on Tuesday during the final press conference for Saturday's fight warned Joshua to forget about his Wembley win over Wladimir Klitschko as he would provide a "sharper and stronger" challenge in Cardiff.

Anthony Joshua Becomes Unified Heavyweight World Champion

Anthony Joshua unified the WBA, IBF and WBO world heavyweight titles with a controlled performance in a unanimous points win over Joseph Parker at a tense Principality Stadium in Cardiff.

The Briton, 28, used his left hand to telling effect throughout an intriguing affair, in which New Zealand's Parker displayed swift hands, movement and impressive durability.

But his WBO title always looked like it would end up round Joshua's waist as a significant points gap opened up, with the favourite landing a hard left uppercut in round eight and two stinging left hooks early in the 10th.

Parker tagged his rival to howls of concern in the 11th and he deserves immense respect for becoming the first man to take Joshua to the scorecards, which read 118-110 118-110 119-109.

Anthony Joshua is currently being primed to encounter a Haka from Joseph Parker’s team with just one night remaining before their fight, Sky Sports reports.  According to the report, Parker, from New Zealand via Samoa, will be accompanied to the ring by his uncles who were appointed Samoan High Chiefs after being tattooed by a boar's tooth in the traditional manner.

Anthony Joshua's promoter, Eddie Hear has advised team Joseph Parker to man up and say all the things they have been saying behind Joshua to his face when they both meet at a prematch conference. Hearn's comments is coming after Parker's promoter David Higgins said Parker will leave Tuesday's press conference should "disrespectful" Joshua turn up late
