Spanish giant Barcelona have agreed a deal with a Chinese Super League club, Guangzhou Evergrande, to sign Paulihno. Marca reports that the deal is believed to be in the region of about 40m Euros. According to the report, the 29-year-old Brazilian will sign a four-year contract with a 120 million euro release clause. He is expected to undertake medical tests on Thursday before being presented at Camp Nou.

Paulihno had joined Tottenham from Corinthian but failed to make meaningful impact. After his short spell at the London Club, the midfielder joined Guangzhou Evergrande in 2015.

He scored 25 goals in 95 appearances for the Chinese club, a feat that earned him a recall to the National team.

The deal when sealed will make Paulinho the fourth signing of the summer for Barça after the arrivals of Marlon Santos, Gerard Deulofeu and Nelson Semedo. He is however the first player to arrive the Camp Nou after the departure of Neymar.
