Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has reportedly agreed to a contract extension with the club till 2026 as the Reds continue to push for a historic quadruple this season. The former Borussia Dortmund boss who was tied to the club until 2024, will now look to extend his stay to more than a decade.

The German will now be looking to surpass Kenny Dalglish, Joe Fagan, Rafael Benítez, Graeme Souness and Brendan Rodgers in the number of years at the Anfield dugouts.

The news comes less than 24 hours after Klopp led his team to a first-leg victory over Villarreal in the semi-finals of the Champions League. With a trophy in the bag (Carabao Cup), an FA Cup final berth with Chelsea and a point behind City in the Premier League, Liverpool are still in contention to win a historic quadruple.
