Eden Hazard may have dropped the hint that he is on his way out of Stanford Bridge, with Real Madrid being the likely destination. According to Diario Gol, a Spanish sports newspaper, the Belgium international told his teammate, Alvaro Morata to expect the arrival of his former teammate, Marcos Asensio in the summer, a development that suggests that he may have identified his replacement.
The report disclosed that Chelsea are seeking to overhaul their squad at the end of the season with the manager, Antonio Conte likely to be dropped. His situation became precarious following Chelsea's defeat to Bournemouth at Stanford Bridge.
Assensio has endured a frustrating campaign over in La Liga. Asensio was in fine fettle at the start of the campaign, scoring two stunners in back to back wins over Barcelona. But things have gone wrong since with the Spain international now on the fringes of Zidane’s squad.
And Diario Gol says Hazard thinks Asensio will be strutting his stuff alongside compatriot Morata next season. Asensio will supposedly land at Chelsea as part of a deal that will see Hazard move in the opposite direction.
The report also hinted that Chelsea shot-stopper, Thibaut Courtois could also join Real Madrid at the end of the season, a development that explains the reason why both countrymen have refused to signed new contract at Stanford Bridge.
