Instant messaging app, WhatsApp has started developing a fingerprint authentication feature on its platform to further enhance the security of the messaging app.
The feature was revealed during the unveiling of the WhatsApp for Android version 2.19.3 update through the Google Play Beta Program.
The feature when made available would entail WhatsApp users to authenticate their identity every time they open the app, and once enabled the app would have complete protection.
According to WABetaInfo, the feature though still in progress would be made available to Android users first and later to IOS users.
WhatsApp is also working on developing the audio picker that would allow users see available audio files stored on your phone. The user would be able to play the audio before sending it.
