Yahoo! Outage Disrupts Businesses Globally

Popular web services provider Yahoo! was said to have crashed for about seven hours (7hrs) earlier on Thursday morning thereby drawing outrage from thousands of its users especially those using their email services.

BT, Sky and TalkTalk were among the top multinationals who experienced and complained about the outages in Yahoo! services. Earlier on Thursday 5th of September, several users around the world also complained of problems they experienced especially while using the Yahoo! Mail. Missing mail and lost sent mail were amongst the top problems experienced by users.

Yahoo customer service webpage "help.yahoo.com" also went down and displayed "Thank you for your patience. Our engineers are working quickly to resolve the issue."

Although at the time of reporting, the problem was said to have been resolved. "Most services are back online. This is a technical issue that affected our services,"

"We are sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience as we get everything back up and running." Yahoo tweeted

Some of the services provided by yahoo include Web portal, search engine Yahoo! Search, Yahoo! Directory, Yahoo! Mail, Yahoo! News, Yahoo! Finance, Yahoo! Groups, Yahoo! Answers, advertising, online mapping, video sharing, fantasy sports, and its social media website.
