The French Competition Authority has fined American tech giant, Google Inc. 150 million euros for using unclear rules related to advertising, violating the country's advertising operating rules.

The French regulatory body accused Google of using its dominant position in the advertising market, using unclear advertising rules unfairly for its Google Ads.

The regulatory body imposed the fine as well as demanded Google to clarify its advertising operating rules and also directed the tech company to explain the procedure for suspending accounts.

This is another setback for Google, as the company recently reached an agreement to pay 965 million euros to settle a four-year dispute with French tax authorities.
