Following the recent protest in the United States (US) over racial police brutality and injustice against African Americans and other minority groups, iPhone's siri shortcut that allows users record interactions are being used by iPhone users.

The shortcut automatically records the user's interactions once a person says "Hey Siri, I'm getting pulled over", however, the shortcut must be installed.

The tool automatically pauses any music playing, reduces the brightness of the screen, and enables the 'Do Not Disturb' mode so incoming calls do not interrupt the recording. It also sends a message to a predesignated contact.

According to CNN, Redditor Robert Peterson created the "Police" shortcut in 2018 and after updates and bug fixes, "I'm being pulled over" shortcut became the new name.

He said, "I just wanted a way for anyone to have proof of their version of events in the unlikely scenario that something unexpected happens during a police interaction."

"And if 1 in 10,000 people find my shortcut useful at all I'd be glad."
