Internet Users Increased To 119.5m In Nigeria – NCC

Reports indicate that Internet users in Nigeria have increased to 119,506,430 million in April 2019. This was made known by Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) on Monday in its April 2019 report posted on its website.

 

The report showed that in general internet users increased to 119,506,430 in April from the 115,938,225 recorded in previous month, showing an increase of 3,568,205 new subscribers.

 

According to the data, Airtel, MTN, Visafone, and Globacom gained more internet subscribers during the month under review, while 9mobile was the big loser.

 

The breakdown revealed that, MTN gained from 46,552,185 to 50,026,393, Globacom from 28,436,386 to 28,627,391, Airtel from 31,243,185 to 31,337,657, Visafone from 64,076 to 73,646 and 9mobile lost from 9,642,393 to 9,441,343.

 

From the report, MTN has the highest internet users with 3,474,208.

 

Globacom came second with 191,005 new internet users in April while Airtel also gained 94,412 new users in the same month.

 

However, 9Mobile lost 201,050 internet users in the month under review. (NAN)
