Spotify Debut In Nigeria And 84 Others

The CEO and co finder Daniel EK announced at its online-only Stream today Monday stating that Spotify will be expanding to 85 new markets in a few day's time across Asia, Africa, Caribbean Europe, and Latin America.

This expansion includes new market as Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Nigeria. The 85 new Spotify markets represent over a billion people making it Spotify’s largest expansion to date.

Spotify will offer both Spotify Free and Spotify Premium plans in all 85 new markets, other plans will be made available in selected markets such as the Individual, Family, Duo, and Student Spotify Plan. Moreso, Listeners in new markets will enable access to Spotify on both mobile and in the browser.

Spotify's global music catalog will also be made available in all 85 markets and will work with local right holders to add more local benefits. Meanwhile, Applications for TV, consoles, speakers, wearables, and cars will be launched in the coming months.
