President Bola Tinubu and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron excite the world as the leaders greets in Pidgin English on social media on Thursday. Tinubu, who is currently in France for a state visit recall about his days at the French embassy in Nigeria as an intern.
In a post, on his X handle, Macron wrote in Pidgin English appreciating Tinubu for his visit, “Na big honor for France, dear President Bola Tinubu @officialABAT, to welcome you for dis State visit as one big partner and friend of today and tomorrow.”
“E still dey sweet me well well as I remember say I be young intern for French Embassy for Nigeria that time”.
In response, Tinubu thanked Macron in French and added that the opportunity to strengthen bilateral relations is exciting.
The Nigerian leader reminded the French leader the importance of building partnership that stand for mutual respect and equality.
