The results of the 2017 Supplementary Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) which was conducted on July 1 have been released by Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB). According to Premiumtimes, an official of the Board who confirmed the release disclosed that a total number of 85, 000 candidates were given the opportunity to rewrite the supplementary examination due to problems associated with registration.

The House of Representatives on Wednesday summoned the Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole over what they termed contempt of the Legislative Houses Powers and Privileges Act and plan to frustrate ongoing investigation into the allegations relating to Corruption by Health Management Organisations (HMOs).

A bill to protect whistleblowers from persecution has passed first reading in the House of Representatives. The bill, which is in recognition of Article 33 of the United Nations Convention Against Corruption encourages State parties to develop legal frameworks for whistle-blowing and the protection of whistleblowers.

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has assured Nigerians that President Muhammadu Buhari, currently in London on medical vacation “is in high spirit and is doing very well and recuperating.”
