U.S. Army Teaching Kids How To Hack

The U.S. Army in partnership with the security firm Synack, is teaching children "white hat," or ethical hacking skills, says Daniel Lim, first lieutenant of the U.S. Army Cyber Command.  Lim, who is leading the workshop n a packed room at one of the largest hacking conferences in the world, said the kids are learning how to hack everything from door locks to computer games to hardware.

United Kingdom government is to make available £2m scientific research fund into technology and behavioural science projects that could potentially identify a possible terrorist in crowds. The competition, run by the Home Office and Defence and Security Accelerator, with support from the Royal Society, calls for research proposals on how to reduce the threat from terrorists carrying weapons or explosives.
